What I got looks like copper wound - Perhaps they sent me the wrong package? Because what they sent me was not nickel wound, and obviously won't tune on an electric guitar. They give interfering harmonics and won't hold a pitch.Anyhow, they are terrible. Or they sent me the wrong thing, but either way I don't suggest this.
