I would have to say that the idea for an instrumental guitar tribute to Queen is fantastic! Imagine the interesting arrangements, fantastically riveting chord embellishments, and beyond! However, this falls far below sub par. This is about as hum-drum as possible. The CD lacks a professional production, for starters. Sounds like someone with a new iMac in their basement found a recording program. Shouldn't be a problem, but it's noticeable when the different instruments are extremely stiff. The actual guitar portion of each song is almost too new-age and "out there" for me. I found this CD and immediately bought it because I am a Queen fan and a completest in that nature. I am willing to buy (nearly) everything Queen-related that is released, because I try very hard to appreciate anyone's take one (IMHO) the greatest band the world has ever seen. This album was a mistake. The credits go to one person for the entire album, so at least we can point one finger and be done with it. Even if you (like me) want every single Queen-related disc on the market right now, I advise you to think deeply about what I've said before purchasing this, to avoid the shock. Hey, someone might dig these interesting arrangements and "band in a box" tracks behind the guitar. Just not me. Mine was simply added to the collection after one listening.
