The McCarty III pickups were developed through close collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and the PRS New Product Engineering team. Drawing on extensive hands-on testing of sought-after vintage pickups and leveraging state-of-the-art analysis tools, these pickups reflect years of innovation and tonal refinement. Designed to echo classic humbucker voicings, McCarty III pickups produce a rich, vocal midrange with clarity and warmth. A zinc two-piece bridge with brass saddles and steel posts, a bone nut, and PRS Phase III tuners with brass shafts complete the hardware package, staying true to the legacy of the McCarty line.
