This is a good cd. Being a guitar player myself, these tracks stand out from the usual lot of "speed-pickers" these days. This cd just proves the old saying is true, You don't have to be better, just be different. Be Yourself. And James Alan Shelton has done a good job at it. I have met James and he is a kind and gracious man (more than i can say for his boss!). Oh, and to the other reviewer who made light of James's songwriting skills on Twilight Swamp, James did not write that song. I perform Twilight Swamp quite frequently and it has been out years and years before James put out this version. I spoke with James about this particular song. Bill Napier, the greatest mandolin player of all time, wrote the song and done an excellent job at it. In addition to being THE GREATEST mandolin player, he was also a terrific banjo player, a fantastic bass singer and an EXTRAORDINARY guitar player. Rest In Peace Bill Napier, lets hope you get the credit you REALLY deserve.
