This guitar surprised me. I bought for a 4 yr old. My son and I are both guitar players. Great neck for learning. Actually good action tooI ordered this for photos for my daughter. It was perfect for what we were using it for.Great looking guitar and sounds great! If you live in a dry climate the neck of the guitar shrinks and leaves sharp edges of the frets exposed. Had to return but found out later a good guitar shop will sand them down for you at a cost of course.Bought for my grandson's 8th birthday....he loved the look, but the sound is horrible. The amp hisses and buzzes when turned up....Not sure if it's the connection cable or the amp itself....Would not recommend.My husband plays guitar, so I had an expert check this out before I gave it to my grandson. The action was good and the frets secure - no rough edges or anything. The amp was perfect - has just enough sound, but it can't go too loud. I bought the blue - very nicely painted - and my grandson was thrilled! He immediately put the strap over his head and started rocking out. I wasn't sure how heavy that 5 lbs was going to feel to him, but he played for almost an hour straight, so I guess he didn't really notice. And he's been playing almost daily since.The strap was a bit flimsy, so I did end up buying a more padded style, along with a floor stand, but otherwise, this is a perfect first guitar for a kid.I initially bought this guitar for my four-year-old a couple years ago. The amp die pretty much right away however after having it a couple years later we were still able to use it for her first guitar lessons. The teacher said the guitar wasn’t a bad guitar but it needed some adjustments and those adjustments would cost more than a new guitar. So we purchase this product a second time. We use the old one to practice on and once a week we take the new guitar in for her 30 min lesson. In less than a month the new guitars volume dial stop functioning correctly. Now when you plug the guitar into the amp the amp and guitar are not connecting. Rendering the guitar useless. Basically a waste of $90This was a perfect gift for gift for out 5 year old that has a dream of becoming a rock’n’ roller! The quality was better than I expected, given the price point, so I would highly recommend.Took the guitar to my guitar playing father and musical mother-in-law and neither could tune it. Beautiful guitar. Amp does the job.
