PLUS PEDAL Sustain and sostenuto pedal for all melodic instruments The PLUS Pedal is more than just a stomp-box – It is a powerful compositional and arrangement tool that extends the potential of any instrument, letting you bridge rhythm and lead parts and opening the doors to new soundscapes. The PLUS Pedal offers full control over each layer of sustained sound. The RISE and TAIL knobs set the fade-in and fade-out speed of each new layer. The SUSTAIN knob controls a gradual high-cut filter that is tuned to emulate the natural decay properties of plucked strings. The piano-style foot-pedal provides a gradual response curve, letting you add subtlety and nuance to every sustained layer. Real-time audio sampling "Real-time Audio Sampling" is a unique generative algorithm developed by Gamechanger Audio that allows you add piano-style sustain and sostenuto functionality to any musical instrument. This is achieved by capturing and looping small segments of the instrument's output signal to produce smooth layers of sustain. PLUS PEDAL FOR ALL MELODIC INSTRUMENTS The PLUS Pedal is a piano style sustain pedal for guitars and other melodic instruments. It samples, sustains and layers any melodic sound made by any instrument.
TAKE YOUR PERFORMANCE TO THE NEXT LEVEL The PLUS Sustain Pedal allows to compose impossible song arrangements using just one instrument. Transform chords into synth-like pads and beautiful textures.
NATURAL SOUND Unlike granular synthesizers, the PLUS Pedal continuously records and analyzes a high-resolution audio signal. The algorithm identifies the optimal portion of the note's decay phase to create a seamless circular micro-loop.
DETAILED CONTROL The PLUS Pedal offers full control over each layer of sustained sound. The RISE and TAIL knobs set the fade-in and fade-out speed of each new layer. Create lush layered soundscapes and ambiances without multi-effect setups.
TECHNICAL INFO Power supply is not included. The PLUS Pedal uses standard 9 V DC center negative pedal power supply with at least 250 mA.
The question that people seem to be discussing here is whether this pedal is, in fact, a gamechanger. My own response would be yes because it can change your approach to your instrument, especially for guitar. My Plus arrived 2 days ago and I've spent about 8 hours becoming familiar with it. It took me two hours to go from "I think I might have made a mistake buying this" to "I'd better buy another one right away in case something happens to this one!" (Which I'm doing.) Others here have noted how solid the manufacture is (and it is -- flawless, as far as I can see). However, the thing that makes this device exceptional is the design of the user interface. I've previously used another sustainer and it was a struggle to control it. With the Plus, once you get the hang of "attack and then pedal" (instead of "attack and pedal at the same time"), it is remarkably easy to control. The quality of resultant sound is exceptional -- same as originating instrument. The pedal itself (not the whole device, but the thing you actually press down on) is solid and has exactly the right amount of resistance. I play pedal steel and this reminds me of the pedal action on a great steel -- smooth and even. Knob operation is clear and accessible. The settings are so varied that possibility of getting different sounds seems endless -- I imagine I'll be growing into the Plus for a few months. This pedal is worth every penny. It's a real technical and musical accomplishment.
