I've owned this album since it was first released and I cannot understand how it has been so neglected. The line up is fabulous and the recorded sound of Hein Van de Geyn's bass is one of the most realistic renditions of an acoustic bass I've ever heard. The standout track on the album that I keep returning to year after year is Akkerman. It's a very laid back track that has a wonderful interplay between Hein's bass and John Abercrombie's guitar. if you're feeling stressed out and you want to relax then this is THE track to play. Talk about being chilled out! For Pete's sake someone please listen to it and review it. It's too good to disappear into recorded music oblivion.
