This is my second set got the alnico 2s this time and the had almost exactly the same readings on the multimeter as my 59 Epiphone with burstbuckers 2 and 3, I got the cream this time matched perfectlyThese pickups sound extremely good and they are split coil aswell which is really nice. These are also extremely well made basically a semour duncan without the logos. Feel heavy not cheap. They look white in my photo but are cream colored they make my guitar look a million times better. They took a bit to arrive but was NOT the sellers fault as they shipped the same day I purchased them they just sat a customs for 10 days. I have No issues and would purchase again in the future.I needed a double cream set of humbuckers for a project guitar, so I bought these. They sound good, even in the cheap, junk guitar I have to test pickups in. I can't guarantee they're alnico 2, but the magnets don't look like ceramic and they do sound really good.I build high end Les Pauls. From scratch, not kits. I have used pretty much every pickup on the market for the past 40 years. These pickups pretty much have the exact same specs as a Dimarzio PAF. They sound great. My ears can't really hear the difference. I always offer my customers the option of these as well as any other "name brand" pickup they want. I have 2 Les Pauls I built using these very same pickups that I let my customers check out and they love them as well. So if you want to drop 90 to 110 dollars for having the name Dimarzio stamped on the bottom plate, that's up to you. But these things sound just like them.Ok, simply put... these pickups are amazing. And not just for the price. They sound absolutely awesome. Not too hot and not too quiet either. Just perfect for that split crunchy right at breakup tone. And when you want to get gainy, it’s all there! I seriously cannot believe the price of these pups. It took a little while to get here, but it was well worth the wait. Nice harmonics in the gain and crystal clear cleans with a punch when and where you need it. I really want to emphasize the clarity of the clean tones coming from these pickups. All kinds of harmonics are present in the sound. I literally cannot stop playing this guitar now and it has become my favorite. My wife is about to put me out the house, but hey, so go the perils of a guitar player. LOL. I used these for my latest (and very first) build and they fit perfectly with my color scheme and the tone I was looking for. They split-coil to single-coil sound and they lose just a little bit (very little) of volume as expected but not much. That Fender single-coil tone is there and I know because I've compared them right next to my 2018 Road-worn Tele and they sound almost identical. What I love about the humbucker tone is that it not harsh or muddy or shreaky. Absolutely clear tone even with a lot of gain because of the Alnico II magnets. I absolutely am in love with these PUPS. They have sort of a PRS meets Tele sound. I feel like these are closest to the original PAFs from yesteryear. Very Very close - of course nothing can reclaim that exact tone mind you. But, you cannot go wrong with these in my opinion. Clear bell-like tone but they also pack a great punch. Very classic in that sense.
