I was curious how wood picks sounded so this seemed like a great variety pack to get. It is neat to try them and hear how, though they all have a similar core sound, there are very subtle differences in the EQ. Overall the darker looking ones tend to sound darker to me and the lighter ones sound lighter for the most part, though this isn't always the case. I've found while they're okay to play with, I find them too thick and significantly less nimble than my normal Dunlop Flow picks I use, so I won't be switching to these as my main picks but might use them occasionally. I think these would be especially good for classical, jazz, and bass guitar for the feel and tone of the picks. The packaging and tin is also quite nice if a bit basic, though my one complaint is there's not a slip inside with a picture of the wood and what it is, so you have to make educated guesses on which pick is which wood. You can sort of tell based off the description's listing of how many of each picks (2 maple picks, so find the two closest light picks and those are probably it, for example), but it would still be nice to have a more specific indicator. So overall a great way to try a variety of wood picks. I won't be using them as my main but will definitely be using them now and then, and these are a nice addition to my small collection of different styles of picks I've been building. Also thank you to the seller Landihose, the shipping was quick, the price was good, and it was well-packed. I recommend these picks if you like trying different picks like me, or if you enjoy thicker, darker-sounding picks.
