Alnico 5 Stratocaster Pickup Set - Single Coil SSS Pickups for Electric Guitar Replacement (Chrome) | Perfect for Blues, Rock & Vintage Tone Upgrades

I got these after ordering a different set of alnico-5 pickups that cost twice as much. Those, for some reason, didn't ship, so I decided to look at other options. I saw these and read the reviews. I decided that I had just as good a chance of these being just as good as "real" strat pickups. I have a cheap Chinese guitar that had ceramic pickups. I had read the reviews of lots of these "cheap" alnico-5 pickups and thought,"why not try them".These came screwed to a piece of painted wood labeled neck, middle and bridge, so I had no problem knowing which was which. I had mistakenly purchased white covered ones when I should have gotten black, but the old covers fit fine (probably because they're both Chinese). I could immediately see that these had more winding than the guitars originals. The neck and bridge have white and black leads, with the neck leads being longer. The middle has red and black leads. After I soldered them to the switch and the black leads to the back of the volume pot, I plugged it into my amp and was very pleased by the sound. And, yes, they're not as noisy as the old ones. I put mylar tape( aluminum tape) in the routs and on the back of the pick guard. It's supposedly almost as good as copper tape, but the old ones still buzzed a lot under the fluorescent lights in my basement. Even in switch positions 2 and 4. Now, there's a tiny hum when I'm not touching the strings and 2 and 4 are noiseless. I'm very pleased.
