If they seem too thin or light, they aren't. Good slide technique requires a "Light" touch. This set is fantastic especially for the price. Best slides I ever owned, and I owned them all. A good slide goes for $10 on up at a local music store, and good luck finding the shorty ring slide. Highly recommend.
